Morning mist – Annick Martin

I painted this scene in 2008; 6 years later I came back and I was delighted to find this heaven of peace undisturbed.
Yes, nothing has changed, the morning mist still envelope Nagden Farm and the sound of squawking seagulls scanning for fish over the water continues to break the silence.
As I seat here on the grassy bank, I wonder how many unfold mysteries lay dip down in the mud; then, as if someone opened a window to the past, a majestic barge glides by.
I hope it will stay untouched for ever. Walking along the Creek, I feel alive, my mind is at peace, it’s a place of pure beauty.
